My name is Gunnery Sergeant Myron J. Porch, and I am a United States Marine currently assigned to the Marine Corps Depot in San Diego. As a twenty-year marine, I've probably experienced about every exercise routine available to man. In July of 1980, I endured the heat, insects and the constant stress of boot camp, Parris Island, South Carolina. Two a day football practices in high school and intramural team sports in the Corps. Obstacles courses, formation runs, twenty-six mile forced marches, swim qualification, etc. All of this Marine Corps training has kept me at the greatest level of physical fitness imaginable.
However, when I purchased my Total Gym two years ago, my body took on a complete change! The Total Gym allowed me to work muscles that were not reached by free weights, nautilus machines, forced marches, football practices, etc.
As a marine, I've always believed that home fitness machines would not meet my expectations. However, I have now recommended the Total Gym to all of my fellow marines and sailors. The Marine Corps motto is "Semper Fidelis", which is a Latin word meaning "Always Faithful". Believe me when I tell you that I will always be faithful to God, Country, the Corps, and to my Total Gym!

I purchased a Total Gym in San Diego, CA around 1985/6 at the Navy Exchange. I was in the Navy at the time. I used the Total Gym at every duty station I was assigned including my time in Naples, Italy. I'm proud to say I received outstanding on every physical fitness test in the Navy after using the Total Gym. I retired from the Navy in 1993. I still use my Total Gym at home in Pensacola, FL. I consider my Total Gym the best method of maintaining or improving fitness and health. Thank you for my Total Gym experience.

...I am 37 years old, have been a State Trooper for 13 years, and have always kept myself in decent shape. Over the past few years, I have had nagging injuries and lifting weights has only compounded them. Since I gave up free weights and started training with the Total Gym, I have gotten into the best shape since graduating from the State Police Academy. I would like to say I have been lifting for approximately 4 years now and I have never been able to find a home gym that would fit my needs. I bought the Total Gym for my wife and thought I would try it out knowing it would not be able to do the job for me. Boy, was I WRONG; this Total Gym is the best! I have never been able to get this good of workout until now. I am a police officer and it is important for me to stay in top physical shape. I can do that with Total Gym and it is fast. In the past, on days I would have court, I was unable to get to the gym. With the Total Gym, I am still able to get my whole workout done and still have time to get to court. I have been working out for probably close to twenty years now (I am 34 years old) and have used free weights for the majority of the time. I am a police officer for a small city in Ohio, so I have to be in top shape to perform my duties. I got the Total Gym because I was tired of spending so much time changing weights and moving from one piece of equipment to another. It took too much time. After using the Total Gym for only three months, (three workout sessions a week) I can see a marked improvement in muscle size and strength. I get a much better "pump" from using the Total Gym than I usually got from slinging the free weights around. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

...I didn't expect that the resistance could be so challenging. In short, I am very satisfied with my Total Gym. The versatility and compactness of Total Gym just can't be beat. When it comes to purchasing something of this nature I go to extremes. I looked on the Internet, in all the stores, in several towns, and check magazine back issues for reviews. I have not been able to find anyone who could say anything bad about Total Gym. Now you can count me among them.

I am a forty-nine year old male and have never been into exercising. I've started, but always gave up due to boredom or work conflicts. I am a retired federal agent and ex-police officer. I felt that the three times in my life I was in my best condition was after going through military training, the police academy and the federal academy. I have since changed my mind. I am in better shape now since using the Total Gym then I have ever been. My wife belonged to a nationally-know fitness club but since she got the Total Gym for me, she has stopped going to the gym. Why go? We now have everything we need here! She always hated going to the fitness center because it was always late when she got home from work and the gym was always filled with other people.
